Security
Artsales.com.au has security measures in place to protect the loss, misuse and alteration
of all information under our control:
All online transactions are handled using AES 128 bit SSL encryption. When you place
an order online, your personal information and credit card information are encrypted
(scrambled) using this technology before being sent over the Internet. This makes
it virtually impossible for your information to be stolen or intercepted while being
transferred through cyberspace (the Internet). When we receive your order, it is
kept encrypted until we are ready to process it.
For further security information, also see the section on
Protecting yourself in our Buyer's Guide.
When you proceed to the online checkout, your browser will automatically be switched
to the secure server. This can be verified by the "https" displayed in your browser's
address field as shown in the image below:
Third party merchant security
Apart from the security measures offered by Artsales.com.au, an additional layer
of security is offered by third party merchants such as PayPal (whom we recommend
for this very reason) and credit card providers, most of whom now have real time
fraud prevention facilities. And of course, all credit card transactions deemed
unacceptable by the card holder (you) can simply be cancelled.

Once Artsales.com.au is properly established, for your further peace of mind, we
will be seeking accreditaion by the following independent consumer protection bodies:
